Indonesia introduced comprehensive Port State Control regulations in late 2017 following a long period of detailed development work with assistance from our team of experts.
These regulations formalise and clarify the legal authority for the conduct of PSC inspections and set out details of:
a. safety and security checks for Foreign Ships;
b. the PSCO;
c. functions, tasks, roles and authority;
d. education and training;
e. PSCO Coordinator;
f. equipment, identity cards, logos and badges; and
g. the code of conduct and administrative sanctions.
