Safer airports for Indonesia

Indonesia now has a completely up-to-date set of documentation covering the standards and operating procedures for airports used in air transport operations. Working under contract to Australia’s Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) our team of consultants worked closely with technical staff of the Indonesian Directorate General of Civil Aviation to complete a comprehensive redrafting of the Manual of Standards (MOS). This MOS has been developed to ensure full compliance with the ICAO Annex 14 model standards but expanded to ensure relevance and applicability in the Indonesian context.

The project was conducted over a 15 month period to ensure maximum consultation and collaboration. As a result the output is not only technically comprehensive but is well known and understood by the regulatory staff who participated in the project and who will now carry the responsibility for its application and enforcement.  Once translated the MOS will be formally implemented by government decree.
